Associate in Science – Hospitality and Tourism with a specialization in Hospitality Operations Management (62-67 credits) This program is designed to help students qualify for work in various capacities in hotels. American Sign Language Level I & II

Learn sign language through these two (2) non-credit evening courses at KCC.
American Sign Language - Level 1
The American Sign Language class series will be a blended learning environment loaded with face-to-face as well as online practicing. Instructors will lead you in exercises and conversations in the classroom, as well as show you how to use the online tools for practice at home.
American Sign Language - Level 2
American Sign Language, level 2, will continue to build upon the skills learned in ASL 1. In addition to expanding expressive language skills, such as vocabulary and grammar, there will be an increased focus on receptive language skills. In an effort to increase conversational fluency in ASL, there will be less reliance on spoken communication in the classroom, and additional exposure to native ASL users, primarily through technology. The course will also continue to delve further into issues regarding Deaf Culture.

American Sign Language is for those who are interested in support of the hard of hearing, and deaf communities. Introduction to Korean Language & Culture
This 3-week program will provide an introduction to basic Korean culture, phrases, grammar and vocabulary. Study of pronouns/proper nouns, frequently used verbs, practical phrases, greetings, time and other words commonly used with Korean guests. This course also includes a concentration on basic Korean culture & customer service.

Introduction to Japanese Language & Culture, Level I

This 3-week program will begin by exposing employees to Japanese culture with a variety of cultural examples and the proper etiquette relating to customer service. Employees will then learn practical phrases, greetings, directions and other words and phrases commonly used with guests from Japan. The First Aid/CPR/AED course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children,and infants.
